What are book-to-game rights called?
The clearest practical description is exclusive worldwide interactive-entertainment and video-game adaptation rights. There is no single magic phrase that replaces a contract: the agreement must define platforms, territory, term, exclusivity, sequels, ports, marketing, approvals, and the rights the author keeps.
Does an option transfer my book copyright?
Not by itself. An option normally gives CodexDeus a limited exclusive period in which it may acquire the game-rights license described in the agreement. The underlying book copyright and all rights not expressly granted remain with their owner unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
Are toys and merchandise included?
Not automatically. Merchandising and toy rights are ancillary rights and should be separately identified and negotiated. CodexDeus may request them for a suitable property, but the scope, approval process, economics, and rights reserved by the author belong in the signed agreement.
Is the 90/10 structure guaranteed?
It is the target structure for selected rights partnerships: 90% of Defined Game Net Receipts to CodexDeus and 10% to the rights holder, with monthly accounting after commercial release. The advance, recoupment, deductions, audit rights, payment threshold, and all other terms are established only by the final signed agreement.
